Concerning Statistics of Users Now Engage in Vaping, Reports Global Health Authority
More than 100 million users, comprising at minimum 15 million minors, now use e-cigarettes, propelling a recent trend of nicotine dependency, per current worldwide medical findings.

Electronic cigarettes are driving a "recent wave" of nicotine addiction, commented a leading health representative. "They are promoted as damage limitation but, truthfully, are addicting kids on nicotine at younger ages and endanger undermining generations of improvement."

"Countless of individuals are stopping, or not taking up tobacco consumption due to tobacco regulation efforts by countries across the planet," he commented.
"As a reaction to this significant progress, the tobacco sector is pushing back with new nicotine products, forcefully targeting adolescents. Administrations must take action quicker and more vigorously in applying proven tobacco-control measures," the official added.
The e-cigarette statistics are a projection since some states - 109 in all, and numerous in African and South-East Asia - lack statistics.
Based on the analysis, as of recent February this year, at bare minimum 86 million e-cigarette individuals were adults, mostly in high-income countries.
And at bare minimum 15 million adolescents aged 13 and 15 currently engage in vaping, based on studies from 123 countries.
Even though many states have attempted to introduce e-cigarette rules to tackle child vaping in recent years, by the end of 2024, 62 countries yet had no measure in effect, and 74 states had no minimum age at which e-cigarettes are allowed to be acquired, says the medical authority.
Meanwhile, tobacco usage has been dropping - from an estimated 1.38 billion individuals in 2000 to 1.2 billion in 2024.
Prevalence of tobacco use among women fell the most - from 11% in 2010 to 6.6% in 2024.
For men, the reduction was from 41.4% in 2010 to 32.5% in 2024.
But 20% of mature individuals internationally yet uses tobacco.
